Washington, D.C. (March 3,2010) — Wheat Systems Integration, LLC donated $2,500 in funds as well as $82,000 worth of technology and services to Project Meridian Foundation at the annual Board of Directors meeting on Feb. 27, 2010 at the Army Navy Club in Washington, D.C. Wheat Systems principals Debbie Wheat (Owner) and her husband, Mike Wheat (CTO), Tod Balsbaugh (CEO) and his wife Tinky, and employees Wyndham Murray, Mark Holland, and his wife all attended the Inaugural Ball for Governor McDonnell on Saturday, January 16th, 2010.
While there, they had the honor of meeting Sheila C. Johnson, who co-founded the network BET with her husband Robert Johnson. She is also the team president, managing partner, and governor of the WNBA's Washington Mystics, as well as the first African-American woman to be an owner or partner in three professional sports franchises: the Washington Capitals (NHL), the Washington Wizards (NBA), and the Washington Mystics (WNBA). Johnson currently serves as CEO of Salamander Hospitality, a company she founded in 2005.
